Throw Back on the Third Thursday of July 2013

I’m supposed to be posting today something about the Lebron James visit in Manila but a fellow blogger invited me to join Throwback Thursday post so let’s do this!

Don’t you ever dare think that I'm already an adult during the 60s!!! You people how could you? TBT (2)

Just kidding ha ha!
The photos were taken some five years back during a holiday party with a 1960’s motif.  Not only that my group won a special presentation contest but I was also chosen as a candidate for “Best in 60’s Outfit”.  I didn't win though.  For those who are interested to know from whose/what trunk I dug my outfit:
  • Wig – a fellow group member brought a sack full of wig that made us all flabbergasted and asked in unison “Where the hell did you get these wigs?”
  • Tops and Skirt - purchased separately from a thrift shop.
  • Black pantyhose - a present from a friend from Australia which I never realized the value until this party – it’s a CK.
Leaving in a tropical country I don’t normally wear stockings because I think it’s a punishment to my leg’s pores.
  • Shoes - I’m wearing my all time favorite Geox boots.
I so love this boots that if it comes to the point that it’s no longer wearable - I’ll die!
By the way apparently Throwback Thursday has some rules.

There! I hope you enjoyed my “throwbacking” this third Thursday of July.  I hope I can think of a better one next Thursday but for now…
Well, shake it up, baby now

  4. Re wigs- was it a man or a woman who brought them? If a woman, no more questions. If a man, well, why do have them in the first place? I cant distinguish a 60's outfit to a 70's or 80's. For me, trousers and shirts period.

    1. A woman from my group Jonathan. Apparently she was on a parlor getting fixed for our party that she unconsciously mentioned to the gay hair dresser her concern about how to effectively look 60's. And the gay volunteered the sack-full of wigs lol.

      Hmn...
60's is something the way I look in that pic - twiggy hair, mini skirts and all.
70's = hippie genre = long hair, bell bottom pantss = the word and sign "Peace Man"
80's = Bagets genre, Hair-Puff-Up-By-Ozone Layer-Damaging-hair Spray(LOL), Colorful clothing combi, a pair of shoes with diff color for left and right foot. LOL

Missionaries of Charity Home of Joy for the Sick Children

“this place will break your heart, will make you cry, will make you want to reach out, and will make you feel grateful & thankful, all at the same time…”   They are located at: 1030 Tayuman Street, Tondo, Manila. Their telephone number is (+632) 255-0832 and the contact person is Sister Anselm. I wrote that caption in this same season last year, my first time to visit a place called “Missionaries of Charity Home of Joy for the Sick Children”.  I was with a  group of friends along with our respective families.  I could never be thankful enough to our friend Rupert and his family for leading us to this place.  It was not my first time to do a charity visit to an orphanage and I sort of wonder why we were “brief” that this is for special children.  I only realized what that briefing is about when I see for myself how “special” these children are.  I apologize if this may not sound good to some, but the sight of the sick children is heartbreaking.  I tried to look tough and not to

Go Kart at SM Mall of Asia Amusement Complex

I’m doing my usual morning run at the SM Mall of Asia bay side when I spotted this area.  It kind of caught me by surprise seeing this area as colorful and lively because I remember during my last run, this area is used to be surrounded with iron sheets coverings, the same thing when there’s something being constructed inside the coverings.  And then I remembered that I had a short break from my morning run.  It seems like this activity is launched while I was on short break from my morning run.   As usual, every time I see something new that looks exciting, I am excited to share the info to you all.  So for those who are into cars and driving, this one’s for you! “Go Kart” ! It is located along the breakwaters of Manila Bay at the SM Mall of Asia Amusement Complex just right after the The Giant Ferris Wheel/The MOA Eye .  Locational Photo The fee and basic rules Fun and Safety Rules are properly posted in the area but to give you some advance info on what to wear
