Apart from the real big deal firework displays and countdowns on major cities and establishments, about 5 to 6 out of 10 houses have their own set of firecrackers and fireworks. Try to be in any streets in Manila during New Year’s eve and you will have the ultimate experience of being in a war-like zone. It is thunderously loud, ear drum-breaking, nerve wracking, insanely noisy and freaking smoke-polluted out there on New Year’s eve! The noisier the merrier!
