My first experience of Manila F.A.M.E was back in the days that I was still working in a company that carries baby care products. We were just starting then to boost the company’s newly established Export Section and among the campaigns was joining the Manila F.A.M.E.
As I belong to the international operations group and also in-charge with the company’s brand registration with the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), I am one among who were directly involve in the campaign. During the deliberations, we were a bit skeptic if there would be investment returns for this campaign considering that we will be exhibiting baby care products particularly feeding bottles. This is not a common product to exhibit in this trade fair that is known for featuring the latest creation and design trends in furniture and furnishings, holiday and gifts and fashion. Nonetheless. the result was good. We were able to generate outright sales, it opened our gate to international market and it provided us a mine of prospective buyers.
Manila F.A.M.E, since it was founded in 1983 had gone a long way and recorded years and years of successful events. Being the flagship project of the Philippines' Department of Trade and Industry through the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions or CITEM, it continuously carries its mission to be the premier trading platform for world-class Philippine products and services.
