70/365: All About Me: Finally My A To Z

11th of March

After (roughly) 270 days (8 months) I am finally replying to this tag by Senyor Iskwater (LOL).  Thank you for this tag Senyor.

Well it was not because I forgot about this.  I was just really looking for a perfect time to make this post.  And since I am posting an “All About Me” series in relation to March being my birth month, so this is it!

A. Attached or Single?
Very attached. Very married.  Till death do we part.

B. Best Friend?
Sorry but I can’t pick just one.  I have several sets of friends that I already considered as family and they are all my best.  Though I have one BFF that I consider my “other half” because we literally know each other too well.  I won’t mention the name so as not to be biased with my other BFF’s.

C. Cake or pie?
Cake with coffee please!
Anybody sending me one for my birthday?  It’s just few days from now so I need one to blow my birthday candle please? (**grin**)

Cake

D. Day of choice?
Any day with my family

E. Essential Item?
Lap top with net access, Camera, Mobile Phone
They are my oxygen.  I can’t breath if they are not within reach.

F. Favorite color?
I don’t own anything in the color of pink.
My wardrobe are usually plain mostly white, black and red.  My Crocs is blue and my Havaianas is green.  Jeez I am so masculine!   The most feminine color I can tolerate is purple.

G. Gummy bears or worms?
Am not a fan of gummy.  But the bears are really cute.

H. Hometown?
I was born and came from the Land of the Braves.  Wanna guess?

I. Favorite Indulgence?
Hmn… nothing in particular.
Though I enjoy eating while watching movies

J. January or July?
OMG!   Don’t ask me about July!

K. Kids?
Absolutely!

L. Life isn’t complete without?
My awesome 3!

M. Marriage date?
I’m a June bride (**wink!)

N. Number of brothers/sisters?
Two super good looking brothers and three gorgeous sisters.  I am the (youngest) ugly duckling.

O. Oranges or Apples?
Apple-ges. I love fruits. All of them!

P. Phobias?
To own another pet.  I haven’t recovered from the the death of my cat :(

Q. Quotes?
My very own quote:
For every bit of good I share to this world will make this world a little bit better to live in

R. Reasons to smile?
When you smile at me :)

S. Season of choice?
We have just two seasons right?  Summer and Rainy Season?
I don’t want to choose just one because they both need each other. Though summer of course is the best time to commune with nature.

T. Tag 5 People.
Forgive me but I’m not tagging anyone because for sure everybody has been tagged.

U. Unknown fact about me?
I’m not ready to share it just yet.

V. Vegetable?
Any vegie but I like the green ones better.

W. Worst habit?
I love to psychologically torture a person (evil grin)

X. X-ray or Ultrasound?
I hate them all because I tried almost all of them including MRI.  That damn feeling that you are being buried alive. I don’t want anything that has something to do with medical procedures

Y. Your favorite food?
Filipino food especially the “lutong bahay” (home cooked).

Z. Zodiac sign?
I am sooo Pisces!

There you go that's one lot of information about me!

68/365: Sunday Quote and Photograph: It Was One of Those March Days

9th of March

It was one of those March days
when the sun shines hot
and the wind blows cold.
When it is summer in the light,
and winter in the shade.
~Charles Dickens~

Wow that was quick!

Birthday

It was one of those March days when I was born. Consider this as a prelude – let’s talk about me!

My Birthday Getaway (Part 3 of 3) – Overnight and Swimming at Sun City, Laguna

With a very enjoyable day at the scenic and misty Tagaytay we are obliged to give this getaway a perfect closing.

“A hot spring swim will be a soothing follow up from that Tagaytay rain” hubby said. “Wow brilliant idea” I said in silence while smiling in agreement with hubby.  We scouted several hot spring resorts in Pansol and Los Banos Laguna area where there are several choices but we can’t find an ideal one.  We’re a bit choosy because we have a tot in tow.  Some more scoutings and we chanced upon this resort – Sun City!

Out of the many hot springs that hubby and I have been into in the past, this is our first time in Sun City. The place looks peaceful and kid friendly - ideal for a family, couple and group getaway.  The entrance fee to the resort is affordable. Entrance for two people is free if you will pay an overnight stay in a couple’s room.

The kiddie pools with dragons and dungeons concept are just perfect for the little tot.100_2278

The room rates are affordable also.  We paid less than PhP 1,000.00 (US$25.00) only for a 12 hours stay.  We rented a couple room that is accessible from the pools.   It is an air conditioned room with television and a small dining/tea table set.  The room is very neat including the bath room.

However, I noticed that the pools are not well maintained.  There are several chip tiles that I considered as not safe or may cause injury to the swimming kids.  I also think that it needs some polishing.

Good thing that there are some bunch of families who spend overnight swimming also.  It made the place not too deserted and and yet not too crowded.  Resort visitors can bring their own food and a grilling stove is provided you just need to bring your own charcoal.  They charged corkage fee for alcoholic beverages.  You can also order food from them.  We had our dinner along the highway so we ordered ready snacks, chips and beverages.  The price are also reasonable compared to other resorts.

A communion with nature in the misty and scenic Tagaytay, a nice dinner in a “Binalot” restaurant along the highway, a night swimming and a peaceful overnight at Sun City Pansol Laguna with some beers and chips with hubby while the little tot enjoyed swimming plus a sound and peaceful sleep out of the city and far away from people and gadgets and  then a McDonalds breakfast on the way back home.   Aaaah what a getaway!  I feel super re-charged and ready to face my stressful real world again! Back to the jungle!

SOME FACTS ABOUT ME (Warning: This is a bit conceited):

  1. "You look a lot younger than your age" is a very common comment that I am receiving in reply to the "age question"
  2. I maybe among the few women who doesn't hide about age.  When someone asked about it, I love to make a guessing game and it's consistent that nobody got it correct.
  3. When people asked "What's your secret?" I automatically answer "I'm a vampire!" LOL
Hey bear with this conceited soul!  It's my birthday anyway ;) Hugs to y'all...
